Aerospace - Rubber Seals and Inflatable Canopy Seals
Hatches and doors in small private aircraft are well known to be loud and prone to wind noise. An inflatable seal around the door frame or canopy provides a continuous seal during flight. When in operation, the inflatable seal is pressurized by a small electrical pump, noise and wind levels are greatly reduced creating a more comfortable environment.

This same technology is applied in military aircraft around the canopy of the aircraft to create a continuous seal under stressful and vibrating conditions. Quality controls and high performance materials ensure a long and failure fee lifetime operation of the seal.

Advanced molding techniques, complex precision extrusion capabilities, and a wide variety of materials allow us to manufacture inflatable seals for the most demanding aviation applications.

Material Selection - certain aircraft doors and hatches endure wide temperature changes in conjunction with oils, fuels, and chemicals. DRI has developed several inflatable sealing solutions for fluid bed dryers made from FKM and silicone to withstand both high temperatures and chemical caustics.

For fluid bed dryers, Dynamic Rubber offers standard and custom inflatable seal solutions for both chemical processing and pharmaceutical processing equipment to withstand high explosion and operating pressures. Depending on the application and equipment, we have several standard profiles for different types of fluid bed dryers that will change over seamlessly into your existing equipment. In all case,s we adhere to and supply certification documents to meet FDA sanitation requirements for either chemical or pharmaceutical processing requirements.

Refineries - Fuel and Oil
Our inflatable seals are currently in use in several refining and processing plants for hydrocarbon and gas products. Our inflatable seals are used widely to test pipes, seal exhaust vents, and assist in vapor recovery during product transfer at tanker filling stations.

With custom mixing and compound formulation, DRI can supply the right compound to withstand the harshest fuel and oil environments. Please consult a DRI engineer to find out what compound will work best for you.

Conveyor Applications - Brakes, Bumpers, and Grippers Dynamic Rubber manufactures inflatable seals and gaskets for use in materials handling applications. Inflatable conveyor stops can safely guide, stop, or lift a product along a conveyor line. Pneumatically actuated, they reduce the number of mechanical involved in managing the conveyor system.

Other supply chain material handling applications include:

• Conveyor lines - inflatable seals act as brakes on a conveyor line, stopping materials to allow for greater flow control and prevent potential bottle necks.

For high water, garages, and basements, leak proof flood barriers are an integral part of keeping property dry. We manufacture inflatable seals for retrofits and pre-existing flood gates. Inflatable seals offer an absolute water barrier when zero leakage is required. They are ideal when flush thresholds are needed such as entry ways to commercial and residential buildings. A dual seal configuration provides an added safety net in the case of any one seal failure. When sensitive equipment and/or documents are located below grade or in flood prone area, flood barriers and watertight doors are a must.

Food Processing Mixers and Smokehouses commonly use inflatable seals on their doors to effectively seal against product loss and smoke fumes. DRI supplies food grade rubber products that will conform to FDA requirements.

Smokehouse Seals
DRI manufactures several inflatable gaskets that will fit existing smokehouse doors.

We have several popular styles and sizes and supply either only the extrusion, or complete seals for easy installation. Our smokehouse seals are available in EPDM, high temperature silicone and oil resistant neoprene.

With our seals customers have attained better sealing and operation, especially in the difficult to seal corners of most smokehouse ovens.

Prop shaft maintenance
Hatches and Doors – Inflatable seals offer a watertight solution for sliding doors and around circular windows. Dynamic Rubber seals are currently used on some of the most expensive yachts on the water.

Inflatable seals offer a “soft” grip on anything from sand casts in the engine manufacturing process to satellite components. The use of a rubber inflatable seals allows high lifting force with out damaging sensitive parts. With multiple inflatable seals, the end user can lift upwards of 20,000 lbs depending on the design of the system. Using backup seals as a fail safe, the design can be a safe and reliable way to move, rotate, and lift sensitive and expensive parts.

Inflatable seals are also used along conveyor lines to stop, move, and lift parts as they move along the line.

In the medical industry, inflatable seals are mainly used in sterilization systems.  Dynamic Rubber manufactures parts for the OEM's and the aftermarket.  Steris System 1 inflatable chamber seal is one item that Dynamic Rubber produces to sell to the aftermarket.  Through distribution channels, Dynamic Rubber sells the System 1 inflatable chamber seal at up to a 50% discount from the OEM price.  Quantity discounts do apply to the Steris inflatable seal.

Pharmaceutical           

Pharmaceutical Processing Equipment Inflatable seals are used in a variety of processes including drying, mixing, distribution etc. Dynamic Rubber can supply direct replacements for OEM equipment at a fraction of the costs. Inflatable Seals & Molded Rubber Components
The semiconductor industry relies on a competitive advantage. DRI offers competitive quality products to supply special seals and molded components to suit demanding conditions. Low outgassing materials, heat treating, as well as cryogenic deflashing procedures all help to reduce particle matter contamination. DRI uses quality fluorocarbon (FKM) materials for high chemical and heat resistance. Other materials such as EPDM, Neoprene, and Silicone are also available.

Smokehouse Seals

We have been working hard for several years to develop an inexpensive and durable solution for smokehouse ovens that utilize inflatable seals for their ovens.  We offer seals made from EPDM, high temperature silicone and oil resistant neoprene.  We also fabric reinforce all of the splices to increase the life of the seals.
